Privacy

KorteKo lets you book court time at venues that use it. This explains what we hold about you, who else sees it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. It is written to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

Who is responsible

KorteKo is operated by Charles Dalid, trading as KorteKo, in the Philippines. We are the personal information controller for the data described here. For anything about your data — including a copy of it, a correction, or deletion — write to admin@korteko.com.

Venues that use KorteKo are separate businesses. They decide their own hours, prices and rules, and they are responsible for what they do with the details they see about people who book with them.

What we collect

When you create an account or a venue registers you at reception:

  • A nickname, which is what other players see on the court.
  • Your first and last name, if you give them.
  • Your email address and phone number.
  • Your date of birth, where a venue asks for it.

If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password and have no access to anything else in your account.

We also keep a record of your bookings, cancellations, check-ins and payments taken at the venue, and an activity log the venue uses to see what happened on a given day.

Why we hold it

To take a booking and hold your slot; to tell you about the booking and remind you to confirm it; to let the venue check you in, take payment and run the session; and to show you your own booking history. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Staff at a venue you book with can see your nickname, name, email address and phone number — they need to reach you if a session is cancelled, and to know who is at the door. They cannot edit your details, and they cannot see players who have never booked with them.

Other players see only your nickname, and only when you are in a session with them.

Services we use

  • Supabase — the database and sign-in.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • Resend — booking confirmations and reminders.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with it.

Where it is stored

Our database and servers are in Singapore, so your information leaves the Philippines and is processed abroad. Our email provider processes messages outside the country as well. We use these providers under their standard data protection terms.

How long we keep it

Your account and booking history stay while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal details. Bookings are kept as an anonymous record, with your name and contact details stripped, because venues need to be able to account for what was sold on a given day.

Your rights

Under RA 10173 you may:

  • Be told what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Have anything wrong corrected.
  • Object to how we use it, or ask us to stop.
  • Ask us to erase or block it.
  • Be compensated for damage caused by misuse.
  • Complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Venue staff cannot change your details. Ask us and we will do it.

Deleting your account and data

Email admin@korteko.com from the address on your account, or use the contact page, and say you want your account deleted. We will confirm and remove your personal details within 30 days.

If you signed in with Google or Facebook, removing KorteKo from that account stops future sign-ins but does not delete what we already hold — ask us as above for that.

Children

KorteKo is not for children under 13. Where a venue books in a minor, it does so through a parent or guardian, and that adult's contact details are the ones we hold.

Changes

If we change this, the date at the top changes. If the change is significant we will tell account holders by email.
